For the past "n" years, me and my parents have always celebrated christmas just resting in our house and just waiting for the inaanaks to pickup their goodies. However, my mother was blessed with a brand new company car just in time for Christmas. So for a change, me and my parents celebrated christmas out of town and in the bustling town of subic to visit Ocean Adventure and to serve as a brake in of the new car. :)
First off, my parents marvelled at the beauty of the SCTEX (Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway). It's one extremely long expressway stretching from along Star toll to Subic and Pampanga. The best thing about it would have to be the mountain's that were parted right in the middle to allow the vehicle to pass through instead of having to climb it. It was a beautiful sight though i couldn't help but wonder how the hell they did it, and how much damage it could have brought. On one hand, maybe this is better because it allowed the remainder of the mountain to be left untouched.
I didn't really have alot of expectations with Ocean Adventure because i thought it was just a simple theme park with a couple of fishies swimming around haha. Well it is a theme park, yes, but of a topnotch class i have to say.
We were welcomed by very friendly crew who made sure you didn't get lost inside or went wandering without any idea. There's also a program list that contained the list of shows that you could watch. All programs are already inclusive of the p550 entrance fee. We were able to watch 3 shows and i think the fee was quite worth it. :)
It also has an aquarium area, like the one in Ocean Park at Manila, though this was a much smaller version.
The first show we watched was the Dolphin and Friends, and this is also my favorite. :) We all know the charm of Dolphins but you'd really fall inlove with them when you get to watch them in person.
This was followed by the Sea Lion Marine Patrol and African Acrobatics. All shows from Ocean Adventure are a mix of trivia, lighthearted humor, and with an emphasis on the responsibility of everyone to save the lives of our marine friends. Perfect for kids and kids at heart. In fact the adults were cheering louder than the kids hahaha.
Food isn't allowed inside but you can take your baon and eat at the parking lot, though you also have to guard against monkeys that can tease and grab your stuff away hahah super cute. We spent only 5 -6hours and then went home but i really enjoyed this family bonding :). There are alot of attractions that we didn't get to visit, like the Learning Center, the beach, and etcetera. But the place is really beautiful and ideal for outings and vacations, that is if you can afford it heheh.
(Note: All photos were taken using my nanay's samsung s3, not bad really :). And also, this is the first post i made using my bluetooth silicon keyboard, and exported to my bloggie via Bloggeroid. It takes alot of gettin used to but i think i'm getting better at it heheh)
